Hey everyone, I have a manual 2017 Mazda Miata with almost 57k miles and my question is do you have to change the transmission fluid in a manual or is that only for automatics? Also, side question, if you have a manual with lets say 150k miles is it okay to change the transmission fluid, since manuals don't slip?
It should also be done on manual transmissions as well. It's a lot easier than on automatics. Drain and fill, but make sure you get the fill plug off first. You don't want to drain it and find out you can't get the fill plug off.
thank you
Be sure to use the correct grade and weight of gear oil for the fluid change, every 50,000 miles or so and your manual trans will last almost forever.
thank you i would love nothing more than to have this car last forever its my baby and i love her
