Hey Scotty I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra
I replaced the transmission at 85,000 miles. During that one I have never replaced the trans fluid. Now that I have a new transmission I am wondering if I should change the trans fluid. I have driven my car about 40,000 miles since the transmission was replaced. I have about 126,000 miles on it now. Thank you.
That Sentra has a CVT transmission, which is its weak link. The fluid should be changed no more than every 30,000 miles max to last longer. Also don’t drive hard on it, don’t tow with it, just baby it, and try to put more highway miles over city miles (if possible).
Yes, change the fluid and filter if it has one, every 30k miles. Not changing it is why your first one gave out.
yeah that might have been a good clue
so much for lifetime trans fluid.
😯 you mean it was a lie? Shocking.
Truly shocking coming from a car company!
Replace the trans fluid and filter every 30-50,000 miles.
