Hi Scotty, My 2000 town car signature hesitates kicking into second gear. No codes at all. A couple shops are charging me $3000-$4400 saying to change out the trans. I would like to know if there are other options I should be checking out first. Thank you

How many miles on the car? When is the last time the transmission was serviced? Is fluid at the proper level? What is its condition?
