Does anybody know what kind of transmission is in my 15' Sonata se 2.4L? I know it's a 6 speed auto but does anybody know the brand who makes them?

I believe it is Hyundai themselves, officially "Hyundai Transys"

Kerem is 100% correct. Hyundai/Kia manufacturers their own transmissions and they are pretty solid for the most part. Stay away from any Hyundai or any other manufacturers that commonly use CVTs. That tech still needs some patch work before they become solid in my opinion.
