2005 VW Passat 1.8T (FWD) with 142k miles. It was a bit cold yesterday, and it felt like the transmission was either slipping or couldn't decide what gear it wanted to be in while it was cold - i.e. did it want to be in a lower gear with slightly higher RPM or a higher gear at around 1500 RPM. There was no check engine light or any other dash symbols, and it drove smoothly after it was warmed up. Should I be concerned or take any action? Thanks.

If you don't mind it just drive it until it falls apart and get a new one. Other option is selling it right away.. No sense in getting this endless money pit repaired.
