Transmission Oil Seepage/leakage

Hello Scotty!

I’m big fan of yours. Hope you are doing more good.

I’ve got 2012 Honda Civic LX, it’s got 131000KM=82000Miles.

I got Transmission Oil changed 6 or Seven months ago when it had 123000 KM, later one day I checked Transmission oil and found it too much above the oil stick level lines, I took out 2 “500 ml” bottle worth of oil out of via a suction pump.

Now after 6 months of this, I got my oil changed and saw seepage/leakage at the bottom of transmission oil reservoir from one of the gasket,

Should I get the Transmission oil changed and before putting new oil should I pour in AT204 in it and how much, will it save my car?

looking forward to hear from you soon.

Thanks,

Navee

See the FAQ section on changing transmission fluid.

ATP AT-205 "Reseal" does not work on gaskets. It will not save your car, but if it's just a little seepage your car doesn't need to be saved.

I checked Transmission oil and found it too much

Did you follow the checking procedure in the owner's manual or stamped on the dipstick?

the bottom of transmission oil reservoir

You mean the transmission pan?

Should I get the Transmission oil changed

Of course not. With 8,000km on it, the fluid is practically new.

should I pour in AT204 in it

No!  Please look in our FAQ before posting.

Never put that stuff (it's AT205) in a healthy transmission.

will it save my car?

No. Keep it simple. All you have to do is tighten the pan bolts.
