Dear Scotty, I have a 1997 Ford Ranger XLT with the 4.0L V6 engine and automatic transmission with 171000 miles. When ever the truck sits for a certain period of time, I've noticed about 4 hours or more, when I turn the key the truck cranks but it takes a few seconds to turn over.

Ah so many things can do that on an old truck. You might want to change the fuel filter check the spark plugs air filter all that stuff. But if the injectors are getting old and it takes a while for him to spray fuel hook I just keep cranking it rather than spend that kind of money
