2005 GMC Canyon 4×4 ,Z71-Sle 3.5l ,5sp. My truck is overheating when I turn the AC on and was idling. The AC blower is working but is not blowing cold air. Any advice? Thanks Pat

Check that your radiator and condenser fans are working.

Could be that the 17 year old compressor with worn out bearings is loading the engine down causing the overheating. But like @chucktobias said, check the fan(s).
