Trusty Toyota worth buying?

I'm looking into buying a 2016 Toyota Corolla LE Plus (it gets more MPG) for 11,800. It has 77k miles on it. One previous owner that was 65 years old. There's front left bumper scratches and back bumper scratches from scraping cars - no rust.

Is this worth a buy?

Any issues with this type or Corolla that anyone's experienced?

I want to get rid of my 2015 oil leaking Sentra. It leaks about 8 quarts of oil every 5k miles.

It actually has 54k miles

Educate me: Is Le Plus the same as Le Eco?

@daywalker
The 2016 Corolla comes with these trims, L, LE, LE Eco, S, Special Edition
Then there are sub trims, like LE Premium and LE Plus... different from Le Eco, but he said it gets more mpg so I'm wondering where he got from, but it does have higher efficiency but not the same engine as the LE Eco. Toyota had to make it complicated.

Yeah, I made a mistake. The plus just meant it just has more features in addition to the LE trim like sun roof, fog lights, heated mirrors, etc. I was confused at that time.

Though the sales guy did not correct me when I said that. He just agreed with me.

Those are good cars. Have a mechanic check that exact one out just to make sure there are no hidden problems, but if not then make an offer on it.

As long as it is not the Le Eco trim (uses valvematic technology which had been problematic in some vehicles) then you are fine.  Check the service history and also have an independent, honest mechanic like Scotty look it over with his fancy scan tool and give it the OK.

Sounds like a solid car and a really good upgrade for you. Go ahead and buy it.

Yes, older people tend not to abuse their cars, and at that milage, you shouldn't have any problems for a long time.

Yes they are very good cars. On top of the reliability evident in Corollas, this generation is also my favorite pretty modern and fuel efficient. Price is alright. Make sure to have a mechanic check it out.
