Why does my 2007 Camry burn oil a lot and wants to turn off when I am at a red light ?

my 2007 Camry with 144,002 miles burns too much oil 

I bought it off a private seller 

it’s automatic 

Sometime every blue mean when I stop at a red light it kinda wants to give up and turn off 

I went to two mechanics one of them says the gaskets then the catalytic converters please help me

Do you have the 2.4L I4 engine (2AZ-FE)?  From 2007-2009 they were known for excessive oil consumption due to bad piston ring design.  There was a TSB issued (T-SB-0094-11).

That's a common problem with those, you will have to live with the oil burning.

As to the Idle issue, check your engine air filter and clean the MAF and Throttle Body (easy peasy on an 07 Camry).

Also, check for intake and exhaust leaks.

Do these cheap and easy things before anything with the cats.

Yeah, if it's burning a lot of oil, the replaced cats would not last long. The oil is why the cats wore out. The guy who said "gaskets" was he talking about a leak? That might be a lot cheaper to fix than what might be a worn-out engine.

You can check the engine's worn status with dry and wet cylinder compression tests.
