My dad gave me his 2006 Tundra 4.7L V8 with 12,000 miles on it. Not a typo, 12K. Should I have the timing belt changed due to age?

Even though it's only got 12K miles on it, it also has 15 years of environmental exposure on it too. I would change it out for my own peace of mind. The belt itself is only about $35 while the complete kit including the water pump and all new cam seals is about $300.
