Scotty, I have a 2010 GMC Yukon XL, 5.3L, 180,000 miles, family hauler.
Last week the light came on, and took it in turns out it needed a new brake caliper on the rear passenger side.
should I update the other 3 brake calipers to match the new one given the age and miles?
hoping to keep the car a long time.

What light? What was wrong with the bad caliper? If the others work, then I would probably leave them. They might go on working for years, and replacements might actually be lower quality.

Brake calipers are usually replaced in axle pairs, at least that's the way I've always done it. That way you're less likely to get brakes pulling to the side due to calipers with a different amount of wear.
