Hey Scotty, I have a 03 GMC custom Sierra 1500, I changed the motor oil, coolant, added trans fluid & also 8 new spark plugs and the check engine light popped up so when I took it to get it checked at autozone the codes I got were P0300 & P0332, I am not a expert at this at all and I just want to know what I need to buy before I spend money on a mechanic who wants to cheat me over
@cmedina1998
It is possible you mixed up the plugs that or your injectors are dirty. I’d check the plug wires and possibly clean the injectors
Honestly I ain’t a mechanic myself I had someone change my spark plugs for me and I watched him do it but ever since it has trouble turning on when I try starting it, I have to hold the key on “on” to fully start the truck
you can google any code. Yours are misfire codes which are pretty common. This requires some troubleshooting, not changing random parts. Not all mechanics are crooks. In fact only a small percentage are. So give them a chance, and maybe you can find one you like that you can depend on . Or search you codes, and start diagnosing the possible causes yourself.
@mountainmanjoe
Today I drove it for 40mins and the radiator goes popped off in smoke could that be a sign my radiator ain’t no good and makes the engine light pop up
@mountainmanjoe
If a small percentage are, I found every one of them.
You may have blown a head gasket
@mountainmanjoe
I don’t think I do because the truck hasn’t been used in over 3yrs and I drove it for 4hrs to see if everything functions so when I changed everything that’s when the light pops up
