Scotty,
I got into a habit, a good one I hope, of setting the parking brake everytime I park the vehicle. It's a 2009 Altima Coupe with a CVT transmission. If this necessary or am I just wasting my time and energy?

Shouldn’t really be a need to do that, probably doesn’t hurt anything though.

It’s a good habit especially if you live in an area which isn’t flat. There’s no harm in setting the parking brake even if you live in flat areas.
