I recently purchased a used 2013 Honda Accord lx with approx 140k miles on it a few days ago. I am noticing some jerking movements when accelerating at low speeds. Its like it has a small series of shudder movements before going into the right gear. Is the transition failing? I am in a panic as i literally just bought the car days ago. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there anything that can be done or am I completely screws now?

Try to find an independent mechanic in your area & have them diagnose it. If it’s something serious, go ahead & try to sell it for as much as you paid for it.

Did it do this during the test drive, before purchase?

Try changing the fluid party that helps but a lot of things can make things act up at low speeds from engine and transmission problems you should have a guy like me a pro mechanic road test it and analyze the live in mode 6 data to see if indeed it is the transmission having problems or something else like dirty fuel injectors are weak fuel pump

@scottykilmer Thank you so much for responding Scotty! Can you please elaborate for me exactly what I should do in this situation? I am a woman who knows nothing about cars. I thought I would be "safe" buying a used Honda because I (mistakenly) thought they were all very reliable. I thought I saw a youtube video of you recommending the 2013 Honda Accord specifically but maybe I was mistaken. I did research before buying the car and it seemed like most were saying this Honda was a good buy. I also had it checked out at a dealership before purchasing, and they said it was a good car. So I went ahead and purchased it from a private seller. But NOW I am learning about all of these issues with the 2013 Accords from oil burning to transmission issues and I am PANICKING. I already gave this person all of my money and I am terrified it was a bad buy. Can you please break down exactly what you would do if you were me? Should I try and sell the car? I REALLY need a reliable car as I am a single mother. Please help me! Thank you so much!!

Yes, this was a bad buy.  Your trans is shot.  You are now the proud owner of a 3400 lb boat anchor.
