Hey Scotty,

I'm thinking of buying a used BMW i3 up in Toronto priced around 19K CAD. They're much cheaper then what they're new, what kind of issues do these cars particularly have and if I do get one and when do they typically start getting problematic.

Thanks,

Paul

Problems start after 100K miles. Plastic crap will rot and crack.

@nick20s

Plastic parts breaking is fine, what about mechanical and electrical?

After 100K trouble starts in them. Get a low mileage for use as a weekend toy or lease it and get it out of your system.

I purchased one in August 2016 and have loved it since then. Only real maintenance so far is oil changes. I hope this continues. The annual maintenance was performed today. Most fun car I have ever owned.
