Hey Scotty,
Just wanted to say I love your channel and all the wisdom you give your audience. My friends and I really appreciate your work!
I'm a university student looking for a small/mid-size truck to get me through for the next few years until I can get something a little more permanent.
Looking at the older gen Rangers, 2006,07,08,etc. and just wondering what your thoughts are on them. Usually 200-300,000km on them. How do the automatics hold up? Or should I stick to the manuals?
Also note that I'm in Ontario, often driving on the highway in the winter to and from school. Just wondering if you think 4x4 is something I really need, or is 2WD with some weight in the back good for highway driving (should I drive on the highway in 4x4?)
Thanks Scotty! Keep those engines revving 🙂
Hy!
I suggest you get sth with less miles if a Ranger is a must have.
Any 4x4, AWD, 4WD etc. can drive on highway. Other question is if you need it. In winter times it becomes very useful (talking from experience).
Manual is very handy in snow. You can have also more fun.
Anyway test it, and if you like it, have it checked by a mechanic.
Good luck!
I would avoid those cars.
