I would go with an early 2000's chevy silverado 1500 i have had one for the past 3 years and i bought it with around 300k miles on it and it still runs strong. The only problem i have gotten with it is the tire monitoring system but that is it. if you get a low mileage one im sure it will last you for years and years to come. Bought mine for around 3k and honestly probably the best money ive ever spent it exceeded my expectations immensely.

For under 5000 canadian or american, you can get a decent Ford/Mazda Ranger/B series 1/4 ton pickup, an older 90s toyota sr5 pickup, a decently equipped nissan frontier, an older f150 v8 that will last forever.... stay away from dodge dakotas and chevy/gmc s10/sonomas.
