Hello, I'm trying to get a tall roof van to build a van life. Which vans would you recommend and which ones to avoid?
Mercedes.
The Mercedes Sprinter is a great option, but avoid small gasoline engines (available on some markets)
I’m unsure if it is available where you live, but in many parts of Europe the previous generation VW Crafter was the “default” mini-bus, it’s built by Daimler (Mercedes)
In some parts of the world VW even sells the new generation as a pre-built motor-home called “VW Grand California 680”
The Ford Transit (if you can find one with low mileage and a good engine - AVOID the ecoboost) can be a good truck, but not as good as the Sprinter / Crafter.
AVOID the Dodge ProMaster / Fiat Ducato as they’re nightmares and from what I herd drive like absolute crap.
Sprinter Types like a Freightliner or a Full Size Ford Van.
Mercedes Sprinter. One of the best and most reliable automotive platforms out there.
VW vanagon Westfalia
Motor Swap and u have a fantastic stealth VL vehicle
With better pick up and better gas mileage
Mine gets +23 mpg
