I have a 2007 F150 that I believe the VCT solenoids need replaced, I have seen videos of replacing them without removing the valve covers but was told the 2007 5.4 you need to remove valve cover to replace the VCT solenoids is this true

I've seen the YT video where they don't remove the valve cover to change it. At 14 years old, I think I'd rather go for removing the valve cover procedure.

I have a 2007 f150 5.4 3v and I didn't have to remove the valve covers to change! Changed in less then 10 min both sides
