When I shift my 2011 Ford Focus from park to reverse or neutral to drive the engine rocks forward and clicks rapidly as soon as it rocks back to its resting it stops

Excessive rocking of the engine can be a sign of worn engine or transmission mounts. Ticking on the other hand can be in the valve train, like a lifter, rocker or camshaft issues or other internal engine parts.
