Hello
I have a 2000 toyota camry with 194000 miles. It has strong vibrations the first 5 to 10 minutes of driving in D but not in R or N or P. Engine is pretty calm in those other gears. After 5-10 minutes of driving (D), they go away and the car drives normal. it is really rough first few minutes, a little embarrassing next to someone.
changed the spark plugs and ignition coil
changed the 4 motor mounts on the car
changed the IAC valve for rough idle
cleaned the throttle body.
adjusted the idle a bit
same results
...overall car runs good after some time driving and the problem goes away driving after 5-10 minutes. it is just the first 5-10 minutes.

Well since it only does it in d but not our it has to do with the internals of the transmission. I would personally live with it cuz rebuilding one of those transmission cost the small fortune.
