Buying an inexpensive used card for my daughter. Honda, Toyota, or Volvo? All thinks being equal with mileage and year built, what would be your 1st choice?

I’d go with Toyota > Honda, but it depends on the model and model year as some had serious issues (like oil consumption, transmission failures, etc.)
which is the better year to look at?
What model are you considering?

In general Toyota or Honda will be the best bet but you need to avoid models that are known to have engine or transmission problems.
