I have a 2010 Volvo S40 T5 AWD with Geartronic transmission and 160,000 miles. The dealer says do not change the transmission fluid since it is a lifetime fluid. Should I at least have the dealer change the transmission filter or at the high mileage should I leave it totally alone?

If the car runs and drives perfectly fine as is, don’t worry about it. But if you start having any transmission related problems, it might not be a bad idea to change it.
