- I have a 2007 Volvo xc90 V8 AWD I accelerated from a dead stop very quickly right after takeoff, there was a loud bang and hit to something in the rear end the car still drives and no warning lights appear but at low speed when turning there is a slight knocking coming from the rear of the vehicle I don’t see anything visible that isn’t normal any help would be appreciated thanks

Jack up the car and check everything in the rear end - suspension, driveshaft/u-joints, shocks, bearings, lug nuts/bolts, etc.

Get it up on a lift for a thorough inspection.

With it on the ground should I be able to move the axles in and out a little?
