Hey Scotty ! I have an issue with My 2009 vw beetle with a 2.5 engine. I had multiple misfires codes and a misfire code for cylinder 1 and 2. I went ahead and bought all 5 ignition coils and brand new spark plugs. Gapped at .44. The brand of the coil packs are Delphi and the spark plugs are Denso. It fixed the cylinder 1 and 2 code but I am still getting a multiple misfire on idle but when running it is fine . what can it be????? Should I throw it away ??? {black}:idontknow:

From your description it appears that you stopped after replacing coils and spark plugs rather than moving forward with diagnostics. Misfires can be caused by anything that interferes with combustion. (Vacuum leaks, fuel system problems, bad compression, etc.) Frequently a moderate vacuum leak will cause issues at idle but not at speed, so that would be the low-hanging fruid to check. An analysis of live data may also provide some clues.
