Tell her Scotty says it would be a very foolish move and show her that I have over 1.5 billion views on YouTube so I must know something about cars

Taos is a good looking design.

But, tell her to wait for the new Honda HRV or Toyota Corolla Cross coming out this year.

Tell her that it is a cool-looking SUV, but it's made in Mexico and it's a VW and they break down and cost a lot to fix.

Tell her to lease it if she really wants the vehicle, then return before the bumper to bumper warranty expires. Modern vehicles are computers on wheels and in the case of German vehicles which are usually more complicated it can cost a small fortune to make repairs outside of warranty. So, definitely don’t buy one. But if she absolutely likes it and wants it, just lease it and get out of her system.
