I have a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT 3.9V6 with the 4t65E transmission with 80k miles, should I change the transmission fluid soon or wait till 100k like it says in the manual. It drives fine and I have no problems shifting. Thanks

Change it: drain and fill along with filter change. To get the most life out of those GM transmissions I would change fluid and filter every 40,000-50,000 miles from this point onward.

80k is enough, change the fluid now. And definitely the filter too.

I would change it now and than keep on a 40 to 60 thousand change cycle.
Just fluid or filter too, I've heard Scotty say before that you don't want to change the filter in Chevys just fluid.
Filter to if you can.
