I know Scotty hates Mercedes but W204 looks luxurious but actually is cheap and doesnt have as much things to go wrong as say E class or more luxurious makes. What do you guys think?
"Cheap" and "Mercedes" don't go together.
Perhaps cheap to buy, maintenance is another story
The Mercedes W204 is the 3rd Gen C-class that covered MY 2008-2015. None of these Mercedes are reliable and will become money pits over time, esp. when you factor in the many complicated electronics on board. People usually focus on the engine and transmission but you have to look at the whole package, esp. the electronics! In any event there is a reason why this vehicle (and most German luxury) are cheap!
I would not even think about it unless it’s a weekend toy only and you plan to do all the work -maintenance/repairs - yourself (and even then buy it cheap and set aside a chunk of money for repairs).
