walmart pickup substituted wrong oil?

Hello!

I have a 2009 Matrix with 170K miles, no problems. I have been doing my own oil changes with Havoline synthetic blend oil 5w20 for the past 5 years. Today I ordered this for Walmart pickup and they must not have had it because they substituted it with Pennzoil High Mileage full synthetic 5w20 !!

What should I do, return it or use it?

I am a creature of habit so using this goes against my morals but if you guys say it's ok then I will. The oil cap says I can use 5w20 or 0w20 so what's the deal?

Thank you!

The difference between what you ordered and what you got is negligible - except for the marketing terminology they use. If is was a different weight or some house brand, yes, I'd take it back, but Pennzoil makes a good oil.

Thank you!

This question is answered in our FAQ. If it meets the specs in your manual , then it's fine. It's a car not a cat. I don't think your engine is that picky about what brand it gets.

thank you!
