Hi scotty, first of all I love you channel!

The world need honest people like you.

Now to the point, I have Mazda 323 lantis 1.6 98' (which I have owned for over 13 years, my first car. 🙂 Great car by the way ) and now it is time to me to upgrade.

1) I want to know which car is easier to make a basic maintenance repair (like change oil, filters, plugs...) Honda or Toyota? There are rumors that Honda parts more gentles than Toyota parts..

2) I'm interested in two Honda cars, honda civic 1.6 i-dtec (2018, newer engine with less power) or honda civic 1.8 i-vtec (2017, older engine with more power) The transmission is same in both cars? What is the right choice?

Thank you 🙏

They are about the same. I would choose the Honda Civic i-Vtec.

Is there any particular need for wanting a diesel?

I personally would stick to the legendary 1.8L i-vtec as @mod_man suggested.
