I have an old 1990 Ford Festiva that Ive had for years just a little extra car to have it does have 303,000 miles but it still runs fairly well. I noticed the other day after I got home and checked the oil that the dipstick was speckled with water dots. I drove the car again the next day and checked the oil again and there is no water on the dipstick and the car isnt smoking. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Condensation, cold morning, high humidity, etc.

Probably condensation. Are you losing coolant?

Low temperature day with a very short trip will cause that. A longer trip with this evidence could be a gasket problem
