Hi all,
Novice DIYer here. Preforming my first radiator flush. Pictures below are a result of the first flush.
I used a rad flush product along with some distilled water for my first round.
when emptying my Radiator I noticed some streaks in the coolant in my catch can. When purging out all the air, some of the residual fluid made its way up the funnel. I noticed a little bit of streaking in it as well.
I want to be cautious here, is this oil or a result of the radiator flush / old coolant still in the system?
thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
I appreciate the time.

Okay that thing's really old and no one knows the history. The only way you can really get oil in your coolant is if your head gasket's starting to blow. If it runs okay and you're not losing any oil, don't worry about it. If you're curious, try my video how to tell if your head gasket is blown. Scotty. It's on YouTube
