Subaru Legacy 2009 2.5 Water in the engine Oil

Hi everyone, I'm having this problem with my Subaru Legacy 2009, engine 2.5 (no turbo), and is basically that im losing coolant but can't find any leak. At the same time my oil is increasing, I have the oil over the max and the oil is starting to be more clear, i consider that is a fact that the coolant is mixing with the oil, the thing is, is the head gasket damaged or is the water pump damaged? i read that both can cause that mix.

My car have 135.000 miles and I don't know if the previous owner replaces the head gaskets, the only thing that i know about it is that the head gaskets that I can see in the engine are blue (because usually a small part of the head gasket stands out and is visible),what I know is that the original head gaskets are black that's why i believe that the previous owner replaces the head gaskets in some point.

My question is: Is there any way to know where the fail differs to check the head gaskets? in Subarus this is an expensive process and i Want to be sure what is the real problem to avoid unnecessary and very expensive repairs. Is important say that my car don't overheat, or white smoke, I dont have any kind of problem, I identify the problem because I like to check the liquids of my car constantly.

In addition a mechanic suggested to use blue devil to try to fix the problem, is that safe in my actual condition?

Thank you so much for read it and for any possible help.

It's almost certain that you have blown head gaskets, but a cracked cylinder head is also a possibility. There's really nowhere else coolant would be getting into the oil. I don't believe the water pump on that engine would mix coolant and oil upon failure. Although driven by the timing belt it is outside the oil-bathed parts of the engine. (If the water pump seizes it would probably snap the timing belt.)

Water in the coolant is very destructive, particularly to engine bearings. If you've been driving it this way for any length of time the engine is probably going to be a lost cause.

"Blue Devil" and similar products are snake oil. They might work temporarily, might not work at all, and may plug up your cooling system. If you want to give a product like that a try as a last resort Scotty has recommended the Bar's Leak head gasket sealer in the silver bottle.

Chances are it's time to start looking for a replacement vehicle.
