How do I know if I cracked my block on my 1995 nissian maxima or if it's.my water pump my car overheated and it never gave me a warning it just went wa passed the overheating line and it was smoking when I found out. It still starts up and will drive but I'm a girl who knows nothing about cars. Can u please help me ty

With overheating a blown head gasket is much more likely than a cracked block.
That thing is nearly 30 years old, almost anything could be wrong with it. A rotted hose could have leaked out coolant. The simplest thing to check first is if the radiator is low or empty.
