A few years ago I considered switching to a waterless coolant, however after my research I decided not to use it.

The biggest potential issues I found were:

Cylinder heads can potentially run hotter than normal.

The cost of switching didn't seem worth the benefits.

Since the operating temperature range could be affected (you don't know until after the change) your cooling fans will run more often, or possibly continuously.Β  If that occurs I'm guessing a retune of your car's computer would need to be performed to adjust for the new operating range.

This is the first I've heard of this coolant. After reading about it, it's something that I should avoid.
