Whenever I hover over or click on the "scroll back to top" button in the lower right corner of the screen, the pc screen locks up, then starts jumping around and the url changes to https://carkiller.com/#. I have to shut down and restart to get it to work. Any ideas? Thanks.

Trying turning off any browser add-ons which may be interfering.
Or, you could just avoid clicking that button, and instead use the "Home" key on your keyboard to return to the top of the page.
The site tends to be very glitchy at times. Sometimes it wants a math problem solved up front but nothing appears in the field when you enter the answer or work the up/down arrows. Sometimes after you log in it wants a math problem solved on a separate page and then when you do so you are taken to a wordpress login instead of the forum. The text editor for Comments plays havoc with whitespace between paragraphs. The "Last Post" feature frequently doesn't work. Then of course there are the processing delays that have users so frequently posting multiple times as they hit the red button in frustration.
Probably more but that's off the top of my head. Not much we can do but live with it. (Same symptoms with both Firefox and Chromium running on Linux.)

Thanks Joe. Windows 10. Just started doing this. I'll avoid the scroll to top button. I do have a bunch of add ons but they never affected anything before.

your answer is there. You just can't see it. Could be white on white text or something.

this is why you see people use periods or dashes workaround to add whitespace

when it appears not to to work, it's because the comment is collapsed. Expand it and the link will work again.

Depending on how fast your connection is, you can always hit F5 to reload the page instead.
Any idea how much ram you have? I added some external memory as "virtual" (a couple 256gb SD cards with multiple partitions as blindows has rediculously low limits on v.m.) to help with lag.
