Weird start up issues

Hey Scotty,

I own a 2018 Kia Soul + model.  WED this week I stopped to grab some food for lunch before heading to work. I went to start the car and it would not start. I tried again and the car started. However, the warning light for the piso traction  came on and the tachometer was dead. I attempted to driver to my office and the car had very little power and would not go beyond 2nd gear. I got to work turn turned the car off and restarted. No issues. I took the car the next morning to my mechanic who scanned it and found no codes. He surmised that after restarting the car with no issues the computer reset the warning code. He said he had never heard of the issue I was describing. Well fast forward to today (Friday morning). I arrived at my regular gas stop and while attempting to reverse back towards the pump the car stalled. Upon restarting it the same warning light appeared and the Tachometer was dead. After stopping the car and fueling up. It worked like normal again. On the way to work I had two other stops and no issues when starting the car.

But I am concerned something might be wrong with the onboard computer. I have a code for replacing the O2 sensor but only Kia can do that service and I haven't had it done as I cannot afford it.

Any idea what's going on?

Check that your battery cables are tight and not corroded, and load test your battery and alternator.
