I hope you talk about more diesel cars Scotty, because everyone drives diesel here same thing with European countries (It's opposite case of USA)

I am going to ask why do you need a desiel?
Only reason is for long long trips and towing.
People make the mistake of buying desiel for a city car and it actually is very bad for the engine stop and start ... it wears them out quicker then petrol in my view
Yeah but you can deactivate the stop and start and diesel are good for towing heavy things
Scotty mentioned couple times that diesels are actually polluting more than gas (petrol), so there is a chance that other countries switch back to gas again.
as Klob says, you do not need diesel if you just want to normally drive in city or highway without towing hwavy stuff.
