Hi Scotty! I just purchased a 2012 Mitsubishi lancer for 5k. It has 62,000 miles on it. I drove it at high speeds before purchasing and it drove very smooth. It had an accident and two owners. I want to know if this was a wise purchase. Also i wiuld like to know jow long it can last with regular maintenance. Thank you for your time

I had my friend check it out. There were no leaks, and it idled well. The only thing that he said was alarming was that the oil needed to be changed and that the transmission fluid was dark. I know those can be changed but based off of that do you think it was wise to buy it.

Mitsubishi's aren't known for being that great to own but with that said looks like you got a pretty good deal. 5000 isn't much for a car and it only had 62k miles on it. Change the oil and you might as well change the transmission fluid too since its low mileage especially if you have a knowledgeable friend to help out. Just remember if you change the trans fluid to measure what comes out and put exactly that much back in. Nice grab I like think those cars are pretty sweet looking

Edit: aaaaand I saw it was made it Japan! You really lucked out my friend take good care of her.

It is a 8 year old car with relatively low mileage. You can not find similar thing for Toyota or Honda although I'm not very sure of the reliability of these cars compared to Toyota or Honda, but I think if you take care of it, it should last quite some time.

Did you check the rust on the car too?
