- Hello i have a 2018 Honda Civic type r. My headlights will not turn on during the daytime but will not turn off at night. It also automatically turns on the headlights as soon as i open my doors at night.
- i went to my dealership about this and the best answer they can come up with is that it might have been damaged during a car detail. They told me they will cover the parts necessary to repair it but if it happens again they can’t cover it.
- my question is, what could possibly be wrong with my car and is the dealership telling me the truth? They consider damage from getting a car detailed as outside activity and not covered by warranty.

I don't think dealer tells the truth. You have some sort of electronic problems (maybe BCM).
You should ask a professional mechanic to check the bidirectional data to find out what's wrong.

Ask Honda to fix it under warranty. Also, has the car even been flooded or has a beverage ever been spilled inside the cabin?
Electrical gremlins are some of the most difficult things to diagnose in any vehicle & it’s best you found out the cause and fixed it, before you run out of warranty.
