[Solved] Should I install more powerful headlights

I have a Tata Nexon that has H7 55w bulbs for the high beams and the low beams. While they work fine in the city, I have been finding them lackluster on the highway and the countryside. I have been considering upgrading to 80w bulbs. Apparently the wiring architecture is okay to take the extra load without any modifications like relays and fuses up to 80w. Seeing as to the fact that my car is just a few months old and using reliable plug and play changes will not void the warranty, I want to fit better lights.

I have discussed this with my mechanic and have watched a few vids that say that it is okay. He says okay but frankly, I trust this forum better. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Wow! You can and stop already ones if you want, but most places have lost that you can't get too bright or the police can give you a fine for having two bright lights. So check into your local laws

Honestly, I wouldn’t.  I’ve seen and heard too many stories over the years of people who “upgrade” the lights on a car (brighter headlights, LED lights, off road lights, whatever) and then gradually start to have a variety of electrical problems.  Whether it’s because the draw is different or what, but I always recommend leaving the lights and other electricals on a car stock.

Nah! these are not very high powered or LEDs or anything. I am just upgrading the halogens. The low beam is near useless.
