There are many cars out there... If you want to save money, get them used. Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic... For a CUV I would also recommend the Honda HR-V. The Toyota Camry is also a good choice.

Check out the hyperlinks below for more info on basically anything about cars.

In that case get a Toyota or Honda, sedan or CUV/SUV doesn’t matter - depends on which you like more, but CUV/SUV will cost more since in demand.  Look at Toyota Corolla/Camry, Honda Accord/Civic, Toyota RAV4/Highlander/4runner, Honda CR-V.  See our car buying guide sticky under FAQ:

And years to avoid or at least be aware of the issues before you buy:

Whether it is a sedan, SUV, CUV, get a Honda or Toyota for sure.

FWIW, my 1999 Honda Accord has 270K+ miles.  22 years old and running like a champ. Just mostly basic maintenance.

And my 2004 Toyota Prius has 295K+ miles. 17 years old and also running like a champ.  Just mostly basic maintenance too! (I needed to change the hybrid battery at 270K+, but that’s kinda expected with such high mileage.)
