What Chevy Trailblazer should I buy?

Hello! New here to the forum but have been a big fan of Scotty for years now. I’m finally in the market for my first new (to me) car. I’m pretty set on a newer model Chevy Trailblazer, most likely a 2021 from what the used car market is selling around me. I’ve test driven a couple and am quite impressed with them considering how small they are. I already know that I would prefer the 1.3L AWD with the 9 speed automatic transmission but I’m having a really hard time finding one in my area and the surrounding states. Because of this I’m starting to consider the 1.3L FWD paired with a CVT transmission. However, I’ve been seeing many mixed reviews on CVT transmissions, including from Scotty himself. Would I really be getting myself in trouble if I went with the CVT transmission instead of the 9 speed automatic? I take very good care of my vehicles and don’t drive them hard or let the maintenance go overdue.

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't buy any GM product these days. Tell me if I had to. I'd go for the conventional automatic transmission. I don't like GM CVTs at all l

Like Scotty said, go for the AWD with the 1.3T engine and 9-speed transmission. Consumer Reports got this configuration on their LT trim test vehicle.
