2013 Toyota Camry L with 230,000 miles on it started giving problems by not going into reverse but was able to drive it then came to a point where I had to turn the car off and then put into drive. That's when I decided to drop the transmission pan and take the risk and change the fluid, after doing so the car drove like a new car... for only about an hour and then back to the same issue until I would have to slightly press the gas to build up acceleration then the next day while trying to drive up a small hill I couldn't make it I was only able to reverse.  So now I then removed the valve body and tested the solenoids and found that my slt pressure solenoid failed, I already made my mind up that I was gonna drop the transmission and after I opened it up I found that the input thrust bearing was completely damaged everything else looks good to me could this be what is the issue, I never got that burned smell that people ask me all the time. Appreciate your time and apologize if my autoVOCAB is incorrect or if my question is to long I'm not a mechanic but feel if I have hands and access to great minds to ask then I can fix this or try to. Stay safe and be kind

Sounds like the transmission needs to be overhauled or replaced. Bearing failure likely means metal particles throughout the transmission causing other damage.
