My car has nearly 180,000 miles but runs really well, so I'm just curious to what oil and filter I should get as I reach my regular oil change at 5,000 miles.

Your owner's manual should specify the model of oil filter and the oil type that you should use.
Often auto part stores have books or computers where you can look it up too.
