My 2024 hybrid CRV developed a knock with 1,100 miles. It's difficult to tell if it's the engine or ECVT transmission making the noise. It only does it under load. I see that there is a class action suit filed over the 1.5L turbo engines with the oil dilution issue. Honda also just recalled 250k vehicles for bad engine bearings. Just a fluke on my end or have they completely gone downhill?

Sadly, it's not just Honda. There's been a decline in the quality by all car makers. The Japanese 'made' vehicles still have a quality/reliability advantage over other brands.
Your CRV 's knocking sounds serious - don't wait, take it to the dealer.
I had it towed to the dealer which was located an hour away. I'm interested to hear what they find. It made that noise under load and with these newer Hondas you can't rev the engine in park or neutral to get a better idea if it was the engine or possibly the ECVT making the noise.
Seems it's a race to the bottom in quality across the board.

wish all those were fake .. geez
Just like any newest car especially first model year, they're unproven since they weren't tested in the long term. Wait until their problems were ironed out then it worked reliably.
