Want a good car to drive around Tennessee and a good place to RETIRE this year

Topic starter

I put in a full 25 years with the FDNY. Now I am ready to buy a car to find a nice place in Tennessee to start a new life and try my hand at homesteading on some unregulated and flood free TENNESSEE land. Any helpful suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated! I see you are enjoying Tennessee. Are you anticipating any flooding problems?  I hope you will remain "happy as a steamed clam" there and not find yourself moving again because of unchecked bureauCRAZY. Best wishes to you and your wife.          Sincerely Josh B.

Don't have any suggestions for the cars, but be sure to check out sites like landwatch.com and see what you can find in your price range.  I can't advise on where to buy in TN (I'm in KY), just dont buy in a flood plain (even if its a 100 year flood plain).  I live in the sticks up on the top of a ridge, if I'm ever flooded I'd say everyone is in bad shape!

Best of luck on your retirement!

I'd recommend a Tundra TRD Pro. Go wherever you want, reliably.

Any solid 4x4 Tacoma would be good.  Best place to buy is next door to Scotty!

I’m sure Scotty will miss his Jeep owing neighbor’s money
