newer chevys are built poorly nowadays but i believe gm made that one good new chevy car

A new 2500HD Silverado would be the best they have. And I still wouldn't buy one because, while the drivetrain may be good, you still have GM electronics, etc.

The Silverado 3/4 ton is what's known as the Best of the Worst.

There’s no good GM products left other than the heavy duty truck series (2500 and up HD) and their commercial line. Even then go light on the options (just get basic work truck) to mitigate future issues (esp. with electronics).
