- 1996 46 re transmission won't move from stop in D. Won't down shift from throttle release to stop. Will move in 1 and up shift after 10 mph. All up shift gears work after moving past 10 mph, you manually shift from 1st to drive after 10mph and it shifts smothe. All sensors replaced. Has rebuilt valve body. Should I be looking at the ECM? No codes, no lights.

Bring it to a transmission specialist. Could be the trans control module, and could also be the trans is effe'd.
I'll bet on effe'd.
